Go down to the local records office of the town you are in and file! Of course, then you will have to have him served, but that should be easy and you will have to find a place to live. You can get a paralegal to fill out the paperwork, too. The branch of service he is in might have services available. I am sorry to hear about your situation and I pray that all goes well.

Hire an attorney. some give first consultation free. Get telephone book and call and ask how much first visit will cost. Also, get you cash out of bank and valuable that you may need to support your kids and yourself during the divorce. Once divorce file, you cannot do anything to savings, checking, property. You can't sell things. But before filing, your stuff is your stuff and you can sell it. Also have you tried reporting him to his higher ups. Most important, make sure there is a police report of the abuse. this will help in filing a divorce and if he contest child custody. If you have children he can file for child custody too.

1. don't shout.
2. get a divorce like anybody else. call a lawyer.
3. if he's abusive get out of the house & file a restraining order on him.
4. don't ask this question again. once was enough, twice was too much, three times- you're a troll.
