Help answer this question below.
My company use to let me tip $2.00
but it depended on the type of service I got
also in some countries the maid will not pick
up any tip unless you hand it to them
Even in the states I have asked the desk clerk
why the maid would not pick up her tips?
She said because the maids don't speak English
so I just handed the tips to the gals when I seen them
from The Tipping Guide:
# Maids/Housekeeping Staff -- A wide range is acceptable here, depending on the level of extra service and hotel level, but generally from $1-$5 per night. It is best to do your tipping daily, since you might have different people cleaning your room. Whatever you decide to leave, be sure to put the money in a sealed envelope, clearly marked, so there is no confusion as to who it belongs to. How To Tip a Hotel Maid

You're reading What is an appropriate tip for the maid at a hotel/motel? If you stay more than one night would you wait until your stay ended and give one tip?
