Help answer this question below.

I am still trying to decide on a netbook - been reading reviews for months now - does anyone have any good advice? So far, I am choosing between Asus 1000 he, Samsung N120, and Toshiba NB200. Long battery life is important.

You have to bear in mind that you don't always know *exactly* which battery you are getting. For instance, the 3-cell Aspire Ones like mine shipped with a 2100mah, a 2400mah (like mine) or a 2800mah battery, depending on luck of the draw. Other manufacturers have had similar shuffling in their batteries, so you may not get the same battery as the one that you saw a review for.

That said, both the Asus and the Samsung have proven that they can get long life between charges. I've heard over 7 hours easily from a 6-cell battery. Some Acers managed 8-1/2, though for reasons previously discussed, 6-1/2 is more typical.
If battery life is uber-important, the Samsung is your best bet, and it's not a bad machine overall. However, for the same price, you could get an Acer like mine and a third-party 9-cell pack to push out past eight hours and still have a little money left over.

I haven't seen enough of the Toshiba NB200 to really recommend it one way or the other.
