Question

Help answer this question below.

I heard that if you try to sell a faulty car, you can get sued, but what about selling a car that had an accident? Does that count as a faulty car? Can I get in trouble for selling it? I mean my car had a minor accident and still runs great.

There could be disclosure issues. Never hide info, the buyer will appreciate it. If the car is worth it, they will pay.

You can get sued if you create an express warranty by saying part or all of the car works well when you know that it doesn't. Having had a minor accident is no big deal. Let the buyer know and if you have the paperwork for repair, show it to him. It's on the buyer to have the car inspected if he wishes to do so.

You should tell any potential buyer about the accident.
