Some Dead Italian. Had some code named after him . And dude I hear he pissed off the pope and was pinched and locked up or something. Oh yeah he painted some picture of a real ugly babe. Did they all look like that back then? Dude. I wanted to hurl when I saw that. Yeah and didn't he invent the A Bomb too?

A great Italian artist who's most famous painting was The Mona Lisa.He also painted The Sistine Chapel.Edit note: This information is partly incorrect. While it is true that Leonardo da Vinci did paint the Mona Lisa he did not paint the Sistine Chapel. It was painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512. My apologies to all concerned.

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519) was an Italian polymath: scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, musician, and writer.

He was born and raised near Vinci, Italy, the illegitimate son of a notary, Messer Piero, and a peasant woman, Caterina. He had no surname in the modern sense; "da Vinci" simply means "of Vinci". His full birth name was "Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci", meaning "Leonardo, son of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci."

or it can refer to a painting by him - "a DaVinci [painting]"
