"It is literally every man for himself" says the person who is so informed about anarchy and anarchism that s/he decided to look it up ... in a dictionary. As opposed to actually ASKING an anarchist, attending an anarchist meeting, contacting an anarchist organization, or reading anarchist literature. Though people who know nothing of anarchism often proclaim it to be either non-existant (how can chaos be an ideology!?) or an impossible individualist utopia, there is not an anarchist alive who pursues those things or conceives of anarchism as such. Anarchists have a serious, complex analysis of society, ideas and ideals about what we can do to make this society better, and strategies and tactics to achieve those changes, and each of these are constantly growing as anarchists continue to think, debate, and actively struggle to achieve anarchy. Though there are different types of anarchism, all anarchists are united in their opposition to the state and to all exploitation. The division between different "camps" comes from different analyses and different conceptions of exploitation and inequality. (For instance, anarcho-capitalists and anarcho-communists agree that the state is a terrible part of society, for very similar reasons, but the capitalists wish to retain and expand the market - they either do not understand the labor theory of value or do not think it is correct; anarcho-communists [the vast majority of anarchists, whether syndicalists, primitivists, councilists or what have you] are united in their Marxist analysis, but differ on strategies). Anarchy is NOT the "absence of order", it is the absence of HIERARCHY (and, this is implicit in the word, if anyone ever bothered to bother with Greek roots) - that means, total equality, and therefore inherently total freedom - and therefore justice. For a lot more information, you can look up books (there's endless amounts of them, and you might want to check out AK Press or perhaps some of CrimethInc.'s stuff), or check out these websites: prole.info crimethinc.com infoshop.org libcom.org You can also message me personally on AIM at Zanturaeon, or e-mail me at Zanturaeon@Gmail.com, and I'd be more than happy to discuss and clarify anarchist ideas and analysis.

Anarchy is total freedom. no government to control us.people would generaly be fucked up and steal and kill and etc. but anarchy can work if there is equality, or parity but dumb ass people are greedy so that is why they (gov.) use it to there advantage.
