Put another way, the website is a collection of the information that Jehovah's Witnesses publish and bring to your door. If you're not home much or want to investigate our beliefs and practices without a discussion, this is the place to come. If you see something that intrigues you and you want to talk about it with a real live person, you can ask for a visit through the site or look up JW's locally.
I visit the site often and find it useful and yet nothing quite replaces live conversation. I urge everyone to have at least one serious talk with us, knowing that no question is out of bounds. Agree or disagree, i think you will find the experience rewarding and educational.

Danny is wrong again. The Watchtower Society came into existance in 1884. It is the The Watchtower magazine that started in 1879 and that is not the question. And it is good that we were declaring the coming of Jesus as king and are declaring him as being king.
And there are several official sites of Jehovah's Witnesses.
