Help answer this question below.
If she is teething, maybe its time to move up to baby food.
I used to rub vanilla extract on my son's teeth. dip a cotton swap in the extract and rub rub rub .. they can't Over dose on extract so they can have as much as they need.. and it really help numb the gums
It may be time to switch to Breast Pumps and Bottles. There isn't much you can do to train a child at that age.
Scream just loudly enough, and cry.
Clean your fingers really good then before feeding rub the babies gums back and forth for a few minutes both sides top and bottom child may scream bloody murder the first couple three times but get in there and rub like crazy soon the baby will relax and the gums numb out the pain stops and the teeth will be easier to come in AND your nipples will not get knawed on as much baby teeth are really sharp so let your fingers do the walking before feeding and each time the babies gums hurt rub rub rub ...

Teeth come in because the body is ready for food. Even a mother dog won't breast feed her pups when the chompers come in. It's kinda common sense. If you want her to still have milk, then use a breast pump. +5
Things might work with older babies, but I really don't think an infant has developed its thought process to the stage where they would recognize right from wrong. Maybe someone who has studied this could give us an approximate age when this happens.
Ouch...
Hello! Fantasy Child, vanilla extract has alcohol in it so OF COURSE they can overdose on it! They could get drunk if you use too much!
Anyways to answer your question, I have heard of two ways. First, lay them down in your lap for a while to let them know that if they bite they will get no food. NEVER scream, though. The baby will see this as a game and actually bite more.
Also, you could push the baby against your breast so that they will have to unattach to breathe and eventually they will get the message.
And LORD Gorgeous, just because a baby has teeth is no reason not to breastfeed. Breastfeeding should be done for at least a year, and I am currently breastfeeding my 9 month old and plan to much longer than a year.
Start feeding her real food! She obviously wants to chew on something! If she still needs milk, then get a pump.
Wow I'm shocked at all the ignorant answers. Obviously you don't need to wean a baby just because they have teeth coming in (What we refer to as MILK teeth by the way).
Just as a newborn baby can be taught a proper latch, your baby can be taught not to bite. Usually it is enough to say "No" and break the latch, sometimes you will have to do this many time in one day, but they WILL catch on.
Good for you for nursing and I hope your problems resolve quickly, I went through the same with both my kids who were nursed through and beyond getting many teeth.
How much will my breasts grow after pregnancy and weaning? Do they revert after milk production ceases?
