Technically, going 10 mph over the posted speed limit is reckless driving.

100 mph on any road more than qualifies for reckless driving.

If the officer only issued you a citation for speeding, consider yourself extremely lucky.

Depending on your past traffic record, you may qualify a defensive driving course.

If the court offers the course, take it with a smile on your face.

It will save points on your drivers license and your auto insurance from tripling in cost.

Call the clerk of court and ask for a defferred judification if it's your first ticket in that county. That will dismiss it from your record which will help with insurance, your DMV record is another thing, you just got a lot of points that count against your DL.

I'm suprised you didn't go to jail..

You just write them a check for $22,348 and that's it. Actually, it either says on the back of the ticket how much to pay and where to send it, or you'll have to call to find that info. What the hell we're you doing?

Simply go to the superior court - traffic website (usually ends with a ".org")

1)Pay for your citation before the deadline of your court date comes up.

-REMEMBER to click on the option that allows you to take traffic school.

-You'll then have to pay additional fees for the court to ALLOW you to take traffic school, this doesn't mean that you'll already be paying for traffic school itself.

2)Once all those are paid for, check for the traffic school dead line and remember it!

3)Look at a list of credited traffic schools online (they're cheaper and they send your certification straight to the superior court so that you won't have to) and take it, LEARN IT, pass the final exam, and YOU'RE DONE!

Thats it! don't speed or get caught for speeding for the next 18 months and you're good :)
