    Someone who is new to a site/ board etc and doesn't know the ropes. Usually asking questions like, "What's a n00b?" LOL

    Noob is meant as an offensive term towards someone who is not nessicarily new, and quite often is directed at someone that is |somewhat| experienced but at the same time stupid/disruptive and/or totally incapable of learning.

    A noob is almost always someone who thinks they're cool but obviously aren't. Also used in 1337speak.

    "Noob" came from the video gaming subculture. Short for "new player", it describes someone who is new at the game (whatever the game may be) and as such makes mistakes from a lack of knowledge about the game or lack of practice. "Noob" mistakes are mistakes that an experienced player should know better than to make.

    A noob is someone who is usually annoying and and offensive. Alot of the time they like to try to get people worked up.

    A newb is someone who is new to something and could use a little bit of help.
