Is it safe to use alcohol on laptop glossy surface? I'm trying to remove the sticker

NO! It's gonna remove the gloss, but not the sticker.

Get a very sharp knife (so it won't scratch the gloss) and slide it very slightly under the edge of the sticker so you can get a grip to peel it away.

Even so you may end up with a tiny scratch.
