I've bought computer parts, a DVD player, audio equpment, and a used car off of craigslist, and have yet to run into any issues.
There's bound to be some scammers out there though.
Make sure you use all the same common sense that you would apply to any transaction negotiated from your local newspaper's classified ads, and you'll likely be fine the vast majority of the time.
I listed I motorcycle & a overhead camper both on the same day and sold both with in 2 days for the price we were asking, I talked to the guys by e-mail first and then, had them call next. I just made sure that we had someone other than my hubby and me home when they showed up, but every thing was fine. I have heard some folks have had problems but use common sense and you should be fine.
Sold a dog pen within 24 hours of posting it. They came and got it that night, and paid our price. ;-)
I want to start using the site I just don't know how to filter out whats fake and not.
There was an add on Craig's List for "A slightly used Flux Capacitor" Should I buy it just to see what they send me?
