Not in a car but in a tractor yes. Luckily i was only in a field
I have had some part of the brakes go and they locked on.
Not fail completely, just get really "soft". I had an AMC Gremlin back in the 1970's in which I had to fill the master cylinder every week with brake fluid. I had it to the dealership several times and they could never determine where the fluid was going. It also chewed up motor oil. Otherwise, I loved that little car.
My back brakes seized once on an Alfa Romeo... ot worked fine with just the fronts for a while
The mechanic who said they needed fixing was most helpful. He told me my back brakes needed fixing. I asked what was wrong. he said they were shot. I asked in what way they were shot. He managed to produce another different answer that told me nothing. He was equally forthcoming about possible costs.
Not surprisingly, he didn't get the job of fixing them. When i investigated them, I found the calipers and pads had rusted into a solid lump. That took some fixing.
In the only car accident I was ever in. I broke an ankle bone.
nope
My neighbor was in a car accident, so now every time a gust of winds or rain or sometimes nothing will set the alarm off and its so loud. What could be causing that to happen?
