I know several people that are not that loud and one or two that don't stink - maybe the birds can't smell or hear so good.
Why do people have kids? They're very loud and they stink.
Mine can be loud but only when something's bothering him but smelly? No. He smells of a nice combination of fruits. Almost like having a walking, talking, flying personal potpourri with personality.
Not all birds are loud and usually not without a good reason and if you keep things tidy, they don't stink. Most people who keep birds love them very much and are willing to take the time to care for them properly. They make good loving pets, very intelligent, and some very long lived, able to enjoy decades with their owners.
