Help answer this question below.
I post my answer after studying the question.
I would be returning to my answer only if there is a feedback.
It is at that point that I read all the other answers to the same question.
I have been following this practice eversince I came to the answerbag and it has worked okay for me.
Sometimes I even have to avoid reading the Q.
I read all answers first, then i give a diffrent one.
I never read other answers first. If I ask a question and get 25 answers that are the same that lets me know what people think. I assume when someone asks a question he/she wants to know what I think..if I edit it or modify it because someone else gave "my answer" well, how silly is that? Either I don't answer or I change my answer so it won't look like a copycat. That cheats the person who asked the question, doesn't it? It certainly cheats me of the ability to say what I think. It makes zero sense to me to read other answers first...zero. :)
No I don't read anyones answers I do not want to be influenced by another response..
I do what YOU do, Marky Mark! I don't like being influenced! I think your own personal answer that came intuitively is always the best!
I'm like you. I don't read the other answers until later so I can see who agrees with me.
The only time I read other answers first is if it calls for a funny response and I don't want to say the same thing. If it requires a thoughtful response I give my answer first. If there are hundreds of answers, I usually don't even answer the question.
Honestlty... I very seldom ever read anything but questions and comments.
Sometimes I go through and read to give points... but that's about it.
I do the same. I feel like if I read the answers ahead of my'n, I'd lose the grip on my idea of what the question is asking. Seems to be working for me.
Hi Marky Mark! I only read the other answers if I think that my answer is one that could have been given already. Otherwise I just go with my gut.
I think your first reaction is your honest reaction. I try to do the same thing, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes, I can see the first answer and it will be the same one I was going to put. It throws me because then I want to try to think of something different.
I usually give my answer and then read the others and give points. I hope my answer doesnt come off as if I took it from another.:):)
this depends on the type of question, sometimes i read 1st to be original. then other times i know the question needs an honest answer and i go for it.
I read all answers, and if the question is a right/wrong type deal, I will reiterate the correct answer, and provide sources. If it is more of an opinion based question, I will then provide my opinion, even if already stated, and try to disprove (but not attack), other's opinions (if possible. IE, evolution vs creationism, etc).

You're reading I avoid reading other answers before I give my answer...just in case they might influence my answer. Do you think this is wise or is it better to read all the answers first... so that you can consider all the angles? What do you do?
Comments
I do much the same and sometimes if it is a very good question I read the answers straight after posting my answer. Thanks for answering, Suby!
