  • No, but I already answered a question about it... "Noodling is a southern US practice of fishing for catfish using only bare hands. Many other names, such as catfisting, grabbling, graveling, hogging, dogging, gurgling, tickling and stumping, are used in different regions for the same activity. Noodling is currently legal in eleven states." • I saw it on discovery channel once. It was odd. I like fishing, but i will stick to regular tackle. i think it's called noodling.
  • Nope ... I use my pole and tackle etc ...
  • Noodling..... We have comps here in Oklahoma
  • I have seen that on TV before. It really don't seem to smart to me. I know I'd never do it. Thanks for the fun though. :-) +5
  • You just missed National Catfish Day: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Catfish_Day I always heard NOODLING was using an ultra light, 8+ foot pole, jigging off the bottom.....
  • I live in North Carolina; of course I have! It's also known as Mud Fishing. All I have to say about it is EEEEEEEWWWW! I would never do it.
  • This is the first time I've seen it and all I have to say is Eeewwwww! No way would I ever try that!
  • Nope, never been noodling
  • I think you are looking for Noodling -- fishing for catfish with your bare hands. Snogging is the British term for making out, kissing. And no, even though I was born in Virginia, I never tried grabbing catfish in my hands. Too much chance that in their muddy habitat, you'd get ahold of something much more aggressive than a catfish.
