Have you noticed a large amount of poor or non-standard grammar in the wording of the questions many people on AB ask?

Yes, I have. I hope they don't talk or write like that away from AB, otherwise they will be perceived as not too bright -- which is probably not the case at all.

That's an ongoing issue around here. For one thing, many of our fellow ABers are from places where English isn't the primary language. We have many Orientals and Indians here. They try very hard, so I respect that effort and leave them in peace. We have a great many here who DID grow up in English speaking households and are barely literate. Sometimes I can barely make out what they're saying, which is annoying. Then we have the texters......I'm not allowed to use the terms on here to express how I feel about THAT. Suffice it to say, they get on my last freaking nerve. +5

yes, and I mostly notice that the people with weak grammar are the Americans or Britishers.
