  • I believe so, but it shouldn't just be a status symbol or a religious tradition. Baptism is for born again christians not just barely born at all children.
  • Every church is in some way or another a part of a section of Christianity, as far as I understand it (this is coming from a Catholic). Your best bet would be to go to the church that you usually go to and ask to have them baptized there. If you don't usually to go church, go to a few, get a feel for their beliefs, and then pick one.
  • Yeap! Only if they are truly saved before being baptized.
  • Assembly of God is not a denomination but simply a Christian church. The person must be old enough to choose to follow Christ to be baptized. There are Assembly of God churches everywhere around the world.
  • If you are going to do this, as pokeypup said, Assemblies of God is a none denominational church. A key point in selecting a church is whether the church is Christian or not. This can be determined by reading there mission statement. Or in other words, what their core beliefs are. The primary belief would include the acceptance of the Trinity.
  • Can they be? Yes. Should they be? Depending on their age and maturity, possibly not. Baptism is not some magickal incantation that puts some mysterious fluid into the soul. It's an act of obedience, and a statement of faith. IF the child is able to comprehend this, fine. Otherwise, it'd probably be better to just wait.
  • any child , once he knows ,has an UNDERSTANDING of his Savior ,and what he has to do to JOIN JESUS.can be baptised in his bathtub if he wants...joining Jesus is between any human and Jesus...only Jesus can add us and only Jesus can take us away... until they reach and age to understand , they are innocent....no need for baptism , HE HAS THEM.....no parent can SAVE or JOIN their children to Christ....their responsibility is to lead them to God....and thats all they can humanly do...there is a time when parents are no longer, and can no longer ,be RESPONSIBLE for a child....just their 'raising up'...
