Help answer this question below.

My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease when he was in his 50s. I'm worried that I may possibly be diagnosed when I'm older. Are there ways to better prevent the disease or genetically is it a strong possiblity that I'll be affected by it?

    Unfortunately I don tknow the answer to your question but I am in the same boat as you and am wondering the same thing.

    ok so everythig ive looked up says genetic is possible but not probable. most times parkinsons is idiopathic.

    This is not definitely going to prevent it, but it might help. Exercise. Jogging, tennis, swimming, biking, dancing, etc. The more exercise the less likely you are to get Parkinsons. Also, if a close family member had it which in your case, yes..Then your chances are higher of having it.
