  • No, that would be Bush.
  • Nope, the government has been side-stepping the constitution long before Obama, he's just putting the icing on the cake so to speak.
  • Yes, there is doubt. And you and I and everyone else know that you have lost all touch with, or interest in, a balanced assessment of anybody you see as a "liberal". You're like a train on rails, with no ability to stop or change direction... or even notice that the track is out ahead.
  • So far, Obama is nowhere near the worst ever (yet). Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, and FDR were horrible flouters of the Constitution. Obama has a ways to go to exceed these three. But judging by his limited acceptance of concepts of liberty and federalism, he's got potential. Worse, as a former adjunct lecturer in Constitutional Law, he *thinks* he understands the concepts ... which makes him much more dangerous than somebody who knows he doesn't know.
  • Yes Obama is one of the worst supporters of the U.S. Constitution. Unlike his predecessor, he insists on obeying it.
  • After the Nixonian Watergate debacle, Republicans desperately needed to redeem themselves. Along came Bill Clinton and played into their hands with white House fellatio. They played it as well as they could, but were unable to convict him of impeachment, but lost a few of their own in the process. Then Republicans, heavily steeped in good decision making abilities, sent George W. Bush to the White House (with the invaluable assistance of William Rehnquist and the Republican appointed members of the Supremes). Bush nearly completely messed up the entire country, legislatively abrogated the Constitution of the United States, dragged the United States into a needless war costing over 4,000 American lives and thousands of life changing injuries, and failed at nearly every endeavor he attempted. Now we have a Democratic president and the Republicans, once again, find themselves in a position of desperately needing redemption and rehabilitation. It wouldn't make a bit of difference who the president of the United States was, if he was democratic the Republicans need for redemption will always override America's need for good government. And, unfortunately, the Republicans are constantly in need of redemption and rehabilitation. If you don't believe me, then name their current leader.
  • No I would lay blame on a dead man called FDR! He was the one that made it possible to run thousands of family's off their land and flood it. He is the one that laid the foundation for many of the Presidents that followed to build their house of cards. . I would love to have the Alabama that so many still to this day talk about! Dust bowl and everything.
  • As for those who are from before my time I can only speak for what little historians and the media have clued me into. Most assuredly President Nixon was no Saint, but his administration should not be as demonized as it was and is. Carter had far more of a punchline of a run in office, sadly only in detriment to our nation, but to the best of my knowledge he was never inclined to discredit the Constitution. President Ronald Reagan, was in my opinion, one of the greatest leaders of my time. I believe he firmly believed in all of the things that make and made this a once GREAT nation. HOWEVER, in regard to this question, the Iran-Contra debacle was a black spot on his record. In the end I believe his intent was for the greater good of all Americans, but we can't just brush this one under the rug, now can we? Playboy Bill on the other hand was quite a punchline of a "leader". I still believe he did more hobnobbing with celebrities and looking out for his own best interests than anything we'd like to see out of an elected official with so much on their plate. I still believe Hillary was doing more dubious things behind the scenes than we may ever know til long after it's too late. Unfortunately those who ever seemed to have a case or evidence against the Clintons seem to have suspiciously short life-spans. I seriously FEARED that woman ever returning to power. Now to the matter at hand, NO I have no doubts Mr. Obama's agenda is to rewrite the Constitution as he sees fit to best achieve his means, which I don't see as the good of ALL America's people as a whole. I still cannot believe that someone with such a mysterious background ascended as he did to such a point of power unchecked. I and many others feel blindsided that someone with such a scant record of public service, ministered by the likes of Jeremiah Wright, and no doubt sharing his wife's belief that in no time in their lives has there been a reason to be proud to be an American til he was elected? Gimme a break. But what I find to be the MOST disgusting is the way his proponents and supporters want to twist those who question his highly questionable proposals into trying to label those that don't bow to the Emperor's weak veil as nut-job bigoted racists. And our media seems geared to support this "follow blindly or be cast out" way of thinking. The time for voices of all concerned is WELL at hand.
  • He's not even the worst this century. George Bush had eight years to ignore the constitution. (Bush might even be the worst ever.)
  • That wasn't objective
