I have a 2000 jeep cherokee (xj) that had all 4 speakers quit while I was driving. The sound was fairly loud, but not to an extreme. The aftermarket head unit is still lit up and seems to function correctly. I even purchased a new (pioneer) unit to see if

    there must be a second amp or something... if the connections to the head are rca wires then that is probably the case.
