Help answer this question below.
Sure, especially in BOOT CAMP.
There're names like: f*ck-up, turd, dipsh*t, dumba$$, maggot, numb-knuts--just to name a few!
What?
By branch: grunt = Army, squid = Navy, jarhead = Marine, wing nut = Air Force. Yes, I had several nicknames and we used them in field/combat situations. Since I am retired, I can probably tell you...."homer", "malibu", are two that were more widely used.

Members of all military branches get nicknames. Pilots and other aircrew members nicknames are sometimes used as their callsigns. Nicknames are typically "earned" through some funny and embarrising experiences or it can come from anything about you.
Here are a few for some guys I know and work with.
Bambi- Always slips and falls when walking on ice.
Buda- A little overweight (but still passes fit tests)
Chuckles- Laughs at EVERYTHING!
Boondock- Watches the show The Boondocks too much
South Park- This is one of my guys, I call him that because he's actually from the next town over from South Park, CO. (he looks like Stan and talks like Kenny)lol
And I'm usually calld Grizzly or bear or something in between- I use to snore!!!
