  • a master cylinder is for the brakes and if the system has a bledd for air it will be on or aound the thermostat housing
  • No master cylinders, sorry. You have a radiator fill cap that you can TEMPORARILY loosen, but you need to locate the actual problem. You have a new thermostat. Is it in backwards? Has the system ever been flush/filled? Does spraying water over the radiator have any affect? Is the fan working?
  • Yes, there is a vent for the cooling system in which you have to bleed out the air of the pressurized cooling system. Should be located on the front right side of the engine on a metal tube that extends vertically. On the top of it, it will have two "nuts" which you will loosen the top and allow the air to bubble out/bleed. You should have the heater on high inside the car to bleed the internal heating system of air also. It will take some time 10-20 minutes with the car running. Once the bubbles stop, just tighten it back down. Lastly ensure the cap to the cooling resevoir is tight and that your fans are running.
