It really depend upon how your Rental Agreement or Lease is worded.

If it clearly states that your contribution to the pool service is PART OF your agreement, say in exchange for a reduced rent, then they could perhaps RAISE your rent, with a 30-day notice.

Of course, you will have provided a 30-day notice to them as well, when you decided to cancel your decision to provide the service. You surely wouldn't just say, I quit...if it was a specific exchange of consideration in a legal document...THAT could change things in their favor...and screw YOU up!

Especially if the Agreement was worded to allow either of you to terminate the EXCHANGE of Value, you should be ok.

Although, it seems to me that if you made a suggestion, issued a warning that not replacing these parts could/would result in breakage or other problems with the pool function....you should perhaps have continued to service it....after providing them with a letter that clearly stated the warning and what you would have anticipated would happen, if they did not replace the parts...A HOLD HARMLESS...letter, sent certified, return receipt requested, so that they would need to sign for it and you have a paper trail that you did, in fact, WARN THEM.

If they do try to evict you, you might have them on a RETALIATORY EVICTION deal, which is illegal. But, again, it would depend upon HOW the Agreement was worded that you both signed.

    Good luck!
