Tell her that if she repeats it, you will get the police!

Give her a choice - she can either leave voluntarily, or you can slap a restraining order on her and have her physically removed. THere is NO excuse for such behavior. Make damn sure she doesn't have account numbers!! If she does, you'll probably end up having to tell your parents what's going on, because they are the only ones who can close/open new accounts. See if you can get them to sign a release for you to act on thier behalf, and have their attorney make it legal. +5

Definitely you need to confront to her and appeal to her senses as only sisters can. Encourage her to stop right away.

I hate when families fight, especially about money and material goods.

I would warn your sister and tell your parents. Parents are usually pretty forgiving but they should be aware that your sister can't be trusted.

I have to get my kids to stop buying me things. There comes a time in most people's life when material goods loose their appeal. I would much rather have my kids around than have a new car, for instance. My only stipulation is that put my tools back where they belong.

My Dad knows about the stealing but does not know what to do about it. He just calls her and says bring it home when he discovers she has taken something again. She brings it back within a few weeks maybe. I am trying to get him to do a power of attorney for me so I can protect him. My Mom does not understand since she has atzimers.

Do your parents know about this? If not, they need to know (if they are mentally able to handle it). Do you have Power of Attorney for your parents? If you do, you will legally be able to keep your parents assets out of your sisters hands.
