Las Vegas here,and yes we have them as well as Black Widows. you dont really hear about bites but that doesnt mean they arent occuring. My best friend was bitten by one when he was a kid. He told they literally tied him down and scraped the infection off his arm while he was awake.

No, I live on the S.F. Peninsula and we don't seem to get them here at all. I don't know why. Nasty little buggers.

No. Thankfully, Massachusetts winters are not to their liking. They prefer the southern climate.

Don't think we have them up here in Washington State, but our land was formerly an apple orchard, with buried wooden irrigation pipes. Black widow central! We kill at least half a dozen Black widow spiders a month! Big ol' things, and SCARY!!!

Don't know. I'm much too busy looking out for the cobras, pythons, pit vipers, scorpions, tigers, mad monkeys, packs of street dogs, and mosquitoes carrying malaria and dengue fever… which are nothing compared to the Asian drivers!

All the brown spyders here are quite outgoing! - [Ta-bum-bum. Tssss!] - ;-)

I don't see them too often here in WA. Although when I do they're hiding in the wood pile.

They certainly are a problem to all the little insects they eat. They are not a problem to me as they live in the basement and I live in front of the computer.

Las Vegas here also and ive seen them before. my mom was bit awhile back i dont remember that far back though sorry.
