    I would say ALWAYS. A sharp plastic spike is better than nothing, even the spines of books can be turned to weapons.

    Four times, five if a bar of soaped carved into the shape of a gun and colored with shoe polish counts. Really I doubt that anyone knows if you actually want a number - a lot if you want a general thought, but than terms like " a lot " are relative terms as in compared to what? A little? How how many are in a little or a few, a bunch or some. I'll stick with four.
