Is there anything made in USA these days? I once asked this question in BIG 5 sports. They laughed at me and said we do not have anything made in USA. US became a "Non manufacturing nation" in the last several years. But we design stuff and offshoring the work. Just because our labor costs are sky rocketed.

They do. If it is made in the USA, you can most likely find it in a store. Most products which do not require high technology or skill are no longer made here because they can be produced much cheaper elsewhere. The US is more competitively advantaged at producing research/knowledge, advanced technology, and services.

Try going to target and buying a culinary set thats american made.

I remember that used to be an advertising point for Walmart, as I recall. Companies are too focused on profit to pay a living wage here in the US, so they have their products made overseas.
