Highlight the ones that you want to copy. Press the control and c keys together. Go to the place that you want to insert them. Press the control and v keys together.
Select and copy the data.
Switch to the other spreadsheet and select the cell you want the first item of data to appear.
Go to the Edit... Paste Special menu.
Put a check mark in the 'Transpose' box and click OK.
Highlight the row of names to copy, click on Edit, Copy from the menu, paste in the proper row on the other spread sheet.
can you not just copy and paste?

When I sort a list in Excel it sorts A to Z then A to Z again, not the same items, just half of it on top and half on bottom. Why?

You're reading I want to take a list of names in a column in one spread sheet and copy them into a row on another spread sheet please help

the questions refers to a verticle list ie column being copied and displayed as a horizontal list ie row therefore the answer does not work
