If he has supervised visitation, then no, he can't call the police, but you shouldn't be a jerk about it either. Poltely let him know that you had other plans for today and provide him with a reasonable alternative to seeing him today (tomorrow evening or next weekend). If you didn't have any plans, then I would be reason about his request, but since you do, you don't have an obligation to change them for him, but you can be nice about letting him down.

You're reading My son's father just got back in from ca recently and emailed me at the last minute to see him and i just got the email today and we had other plans. can he call the police? i have full custoday and he has supervised visitation..

i'm never a jerk about it. i told him he can see him next weekend with prior notice (instead of an email)thanks for you answer so quickly.

Glad to help and I wasn't trying to imply that you were. I was just trying to say that even though he's given you short notice, there's no reason to panic and get upset about it, which might reflect back to him as being a jerk...that's all. :)
