Help answer this question below.
It's supposed to be slightly off the wall. I mean, if you were a seven foot tall super soldier or a strange alien (your choice of multiplayer characters) wouldn't you run out there and kick butt? Bungie designed the multi player in Halo almost as a tribute to the old-skool style of first person shooter multiplayer, like playing Quake again, just a better game engine lol
No not really, just stupid people being fodder. There are more new people to the game.
Have you ever pwned a noob with leet hax irl?

You're reading Do you think the halo 3 multiplayer is weird??? (I mean people just going out in the open shooting and chucking grenades?????)

That's my whole point. I don't like how you have all these shields that take like two rockets or a whole clip of ammo to destroy. The people need a little less health and more maps rather then bungie just trying to make you buy new map packs. The whole super - shield thing is what causes people to try and find loopholes to kill people and become number 1. For example, you can chuck a grenade at someone, jump up, shoot, attempt to run around and dodge bullets, and kill the other person. This makes the action become hectic in most cases and I prefer first person shooters where you use strategy and skill.

There's strategy and skill in every game. You just have to base strategy around the game engine. Besides, the physics engine is customisable. You can change the options so players are slower and take more damage etc. Anyway, the bottom line is if you want a realistic multiplayer experience, don't play a game in which you play as a seven foot tall super soldier from over 500 years in the future ^_^
