One of the biggest is trying to "bunt" for a base hit, in the late innings of an opposing pitchers no-hitter.

Touching the ball if you are playing offense instead of defense. It is something unique in baseball compared to other sports like basketball or volleyball.

    Ask Steve Bartman.

Though in my opinion, any other person in his place would have done EXACTLY the same thing. You see it all the time in baseball.

I hope he's doing well these days.

Talking to the pitcher while he's trying to throw a no-hitter or a perfect game.

...a batter, taking his bat to the umpire, after a difference in opinions--about the last pitch?

You don't argue strikes with the umpire. You don't showboat when hitting a homerun, although I've seen a few players do that.

Using your baseball bat as a weapon. Juan Marichal did this during a baseball game between the San Fransisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 22, 1965; when he struck Dodgers catcher John Roseboro with his baseball bat, the resulting wound to Roseboro's head required 14 stitches to close--and is said to be the most likely reason why Marichal did not get elected to Baseball Hall of Fame during his first four years of eligibility. Only after Roseboro publicly forgave Marichal for that incident did the Baseball Writers of America forgive him, too; Marichal was finally elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
