Question

A good friend of my husband's was killed this week. She was shot in the head. She was AGAINST guns, a practicing Wiccan, and was in a well-known abusive relationship (trying to get out). Police are ignoring all this and ruling suicide. What the hell?

I would go and see the Public Prosecutor and tell them about your fears and get them to look into the case ASAP before it gets swept under the carpet or just filed away

There really aren't enough facts here to sort this out. Was she suicidal? What did the scene of her death look like? Was she laying on the ground with a gun in her hand?

There are a hundred details that have to be known to make a good judgment.

I am sorry but I do not believe her baing anti gun or wiccan have anything to do with it. christians commit suicide dispite it being deemed a haneuos sin... and people are not anti gun because they thing they have myspical soul capturing powers.... they are anti gun for reasons which go out the window when they decide to kill themselves.

Sadly, perfect officers are only found on television. Unfortunately, there needs to be miles or paperwork for anything to be done these days. Did she ever file for protection orders or have the police called? If not - ONLY her friends and family know the truth. Times are different. There is less compassion in society. Maybe, you and a collection of people who agree that her death was untimely could confront the officer in charge. Take a stand for her.

First off. im so sorry about your friend. I have to say sometimes I wonder about the rulings of CODs, especially in small towns. Coroners dont even have to be cops or medical professionals where I live. So you're angry ,frustrated and feel like the truth is something else, I doubt you are only one. Maybe a bunch of her friends could pressure the policeto reopen it or go to the media?{If youre absolutely sure she did not commit suicide....sometimes its hard to believe that one would, especially if they are a friend]

Unless it was very evident at the scene, it seems they would investigate. Sorry about your friend in any case.
