a 4X4 is a 4wheel drive, which means that it uses the drive shaft to power all for wheels. a 4X4 is an all terraian vehicle that is best used on things that normal cars cant go on. rocky hills, river beds and mostly mud! we own one and it is the funnest experience in the world if you have the right driver. otherwise commonly knowen as a 4WD

you know if you cant piece together what 4x4 stands for you probably shouldnt be driving one then should you. the first number standing for how many tires your vehicle actually has, lets use a motorcycle because thats simple you might get it, it has 2 tires so the first number would be two. the second number stands for the number of wheels that can power the vehicle so a motorcycle would be a 2x1
An automobile that can use all four of its tires to drive. Best for hauling trailers, climbing large mountains, or can also be used in icy conditions.
