Some newer ovens have an electric glow plug that must be working for the oven to light. If your top burners use an electric spark for automatic lighting instead of a pilot light, it is likely your oven is of this type.
open the hatch at the bottom and light that bad boy
Use a long stem match or a long stem lighter. You'll know when it's lit.
I'm assuming your stove is like my own.
Maybe you should give her a tranquilizer first?

I have a gas oven; This is the first time I've cooked with gas. It makes a whooshing sound every so often (gas I presume). Is it normal that it makes this noise while cooking?

Hi how do i check the operating pressure on a natural gas hob. ive been told that the operating pressure can be anything from 21mb + or - 2, testing it from the injector on the biggest ring.
