If your teacher's pension is based on wages that were not covered by SS, then your widow's benefit may be subject to a reduction due to Government Pension Offset.
If you withdraw your contributions and make yourself ineligible for the pension, then your widow's benefit would not be affected.
Doesn't it depend on the state you live in?

You're reading Social security I have recently retired from teaching in the public schools after only 15 years. I turn 70 today. I have been collecting widows benefits. How will my social securtiy be affected once I start receiving my pension?
