• Sh!t I am just happy to hear some women still breastfeed! I for the life of me can not figure out why they would not, unless they just can not produce milk.

• That was my problem. I tried like crazy to get the milk to flow, but it just wasn't enough to sustain life. Did the colustrum thing, then went on to formula. There is a faction of women in the US who are hardcore breastfeeders. While I understand that it is by far the best thing for the baby, I wouldn't bother taking such a strong stand in favor of it. Still, when the teeth come in, it's time to add food to the damn diet. Even a mama dog will wean at that point.

• My children were breast-babies. I even had the nerve to feed them in public. Can you believe that! I did cover up with a blanket but my thought was if my baby is hungry, I'm going to feed her, no matter where we are. If someone is offended by my feeding of my child (b/c that's what boobs are actually for) then they can go shove off. I say more power to women who breast-feed!

• No, Phyllis! Not at all! I knew you were standing in support of it :) I was just making my own statement. I know some women, for whatever reason just cant produce milk. There's no shame in that. Formula is good too (but breast is best)I agree with you, if a woman is breast-feeding and her baby is hungry, whip out the boob and feed it already! Dont be ashamed.

• Americans are pretty uptight about nudity, even with this. I mean, I wouldn't want people screwing on street corners, but breastfeeding? It just isn't that big of a deal, folks!

• Correct. When you are a nursing mother, its a whole other thing. The boobies then are not for oogling, they are food for the infant. Most women will cover with a blanket or even go into a restroom.
