Slang in my opinion is a regionalized specific word that is commonly used by a select group of people and may vary amongst various substrata withing the same population and may therefore be known across the entire society but only amongst those who the terms refer to or use daily.

The older I get, it seems to be any pronounced combination of letters that can be perceived as a word as long as more than 2 people can agree on the same definition.
Just make it up as you go along.
