Usually people have it done on their face...It removes damamged top layers of skin ex. Acne scars, rarely tattoos, wrinkles, & things left from trauma. Usually they will numb with something like Lidocaine. They use like a wire-ish brush & it rotates so it takes off the top layers of the persons skin. It injures the skin & it does bleed. So in the process of healing, new skin grows in place of the damaged skin.
