    Chosun One

Sections of rail provided parallel to the rails of the track (on the inside) at road crossings, bridges, viaducts, etc., to guide the flanges of the train wheels, and, in case an axle is derailed, to prevent the derailed wheels from moving away from the track in order to limit the damage to the bridge or other structure, or to prevent derailments in places where extrication might be unusually difficult.
