No, things are getting better more slowly due to the stimulus also why keep uncompetative companies afloat we could use new companies with new ideas. We are stiffling innovation with our new communist programs that will be the undoing of freedom.

I sincerely doubt it is working or that it will work. However, as they say of the stock market, 'one of three things will happen; it go up, go down or stay the same'.
    .
The economy will pick up in time. Many people will attribute it to the 'bold' stimulus packages. In fifty years impartial economists and historians will conclude that the stimulus packages either had no effect on the economy or exacerbated the downturn much as they did with Roosevelt's programs.
    .
    George F. Will:
"In February 2008, President George W. Bush and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who normally were at daggers drawn, agreed that a $168 billion stimulus -- this was Stimulus I -- would be the "booster shot" the economy needed. Unemployment then was 4.8 percent."
    .
"In January, the administration, shiny as a new dime and bursting with brains, said that unless another stimulus -- Stimulus II wound up involving $787 billion -- was passed immediately, unemployment, which then was 7.6 percent, would reach 9 percent by 2010. But halfway through 2009, the rate is 9.5."

If it works then you will have them shouting from roof tops and the whole media will be camping at their doorsteps and if it doesn't work then they will say you have to give it more time and more money.
It will have its upside and downside also. From my point of view it will be bad for a few more years.

Not yet. It needs more time to start working. Remember that around 1982 the "Reaganomics" system that was supposed to get us out of the recession was not working and if elections would have been held on that year Reagan would have lost the elections by a wide margin.
A couple of years later the table had turned....and he was in good shape winning the 1984 election. Obama needs more time. Time will tell.

That is a hard question to answer yes or no. Not all the stimulus money has been issued. The President's office claims more will go out this summer and will be used to create more jobs. Some states are not using the money the way they were expected. Like the stimulus checks to individuals, some simply paid off a few bills and did not use the money to create. Roads were being repaved instead of being rebuilt which would create more jobs. The government said it is still too early for all the stimulus to show signs of working and all seem to agree that more money will be necessary to get the economy going full strength.
