On my visit to Paris last year...
Not much, if you mean Americans (USA)... Some won't even talk to you in English, even though they are fluent.
If you speak your Worst French, you're treated a LOT better. ;p lol

Who ever the "us" may be, anecdotal evidence suggests that the French like only the French. But this is often true of any nation with pride in their accomplishments and caution about outsiders.

The French are the French and so you have to accept them.
Indeed they have sometimes a superiority complex and usually British or Americans they do not really like.
But I wonder if there are any foreigners which they like.
And foreign languages they learn with the same lack of passion as Americans or British do.
If you don't speak their language you are usually pissed off.
The French expect that you speak their language and learning a foreign language is for most of them nothing but a waste of time.
And of course you should know that Europe is only consisting of France.
Other European countries are rather unknown in France.
