Only one - but my tall, slender (5'10", 118 lbs.) older daughter, 23, can do three at a time! She has the movement "down"!! It is nice to watch her do it. She only owns one, but at the drugstore recently, she showed me how she can do it with two, then she tried three and had them going for about a minute! Of course, maybe you mean how many can you KEEP going. That would be another story, I'm sure!!! Takes lots and lots of practice! Great exercise, though - I use one, and it is a nice type of cardio, tho' somewhat low impact.
