Help answer this question below.

How do I set microsoft excel to automatically set a different fill color inside the print area than what's outside the print area when I click on set print area? Also, how do I set up the print are to have horizontal lines running thru the print area?

    I think you will need an "event" macro to automatically set fill color to change with the selected print area (and it sounds like a good idea; I may experiment with that a bit).

    The same macro could automatically modify gridline changes on the fly as the print area is changed.
