  • I don't find that insensitive at all. What I might take issue with, though, is your assumption that anyone whose perception of God does not match yours is wrong, or that they are "pushing" God "away."
  • If you tell them the truth, they will dislike you.The bible refers itself as a sword that cuts deep. The truth shall set you free.+5
  • What God? http://godisimaginary.com/ Show me your God. If you can't then STFU! You're being insensitive if you refuse to show him.
  • Why do you assume that we are pushing god away? Perhaps I am really god, and you are pushing me away. Perhaps allah is the one true god, and we are pushing him away. You don't actually *know* that there is only one god, or any gods at all, and he/she/it/they is your god. What is 'insensitive' is that people fail to realize this fact, and push their beliefs as if they are the only possible answer, and everyone else is incorrect/an idiot.
  • Prove your God exists and then we'll talk about your "truth", but then you have to prove that your truth is the real truth as well
  • I don't believe you are being insensitive, if anything you are being overly sensitive about the fact that my beliefs differ from yours. The insensitivity comes when you refuse to respect my beliefs that your God does not exist. When you repeatedly tell me that because I believe differently to you, I am a sinner and going to hell - I don't care because I don't believe in your heaven any more than I do in your hell. I cannot push away that which doesn't exist - prove the existence of your God to me and I will take your "truths" more seriously; but even then I am free to choose my own God from the so many available throughout the numerous denominations of faith.
  • The only thing I would say about that is that it is your opinion and that does not make it the truth for everyone else, it is the truth for you. Someone elses truth may be that there is no God or even multiple gods.
  • "Truth" is a relative term, like "normal"...what you see as the truth reflects your opinion, not that of other people... Get over yourself and don't take it all so seriously...
  • I don't find it insensitive at all......I actually find it pushy, rude, and annoying more than anything......Like those damn missionaries who show up on my door step trying to convert me....When I have politely tried to get rid of them (B/c there is no chance some punk kid is going to get me to read the book of mormon) they force me to get rude with them....and then i look like the bad guy......Annoying and pushy!!!!!!!
  • He loves me? what kind of love are we talking about here? I give my child more love than he gives me. I give hugs, and financial support, and a place to live, and a vehicle, and two loving parents. how can God's love compare to that?????
  • No, you're confused - we're pushing YOU and your condescension away, not God.
  • I don't remember ever calling you insensitive. However, people who push their religion on others most likely ARE insensitive BECAUSE they tend to PUSH their religion on others and treat people like they're stupid if they don't agree with them. It has more to do with how they treat people than what they believe.
  • It's not insensitive unless you try to shove your beliefs down my throat, you can only do that if I let you. In person or online if I don't want to listen to you I can walk away and unless you follow me around preaching at my back you haven't become insensitive.
  • Hahaha...funny, I can think of many other words than "insensitive"...lol
  • The people who don't believe in your god honestly don't don't believe in him. The majority of them can't understand how you can believe in God. You can't force anyone to believe anything. They have to accept something themselves. And constant preaching drives more people away. I don't know if you do that or not. I can see how your intentions are good. But you have to let people decide for themselves. The people who want to believe in the Bible will.
