Gorilla being more intelligent and having the use of hands and legs to move and combined with strength to work with its smarts ... They are a very powerfull animal ... Gentle by nature, but protective when needed ... Peace

Bear hands down. Gorillas are strong but people have no idea the strength of a full grown grizzly. She would tear him to shreads before he had time to use the Advantage of his hands. Only thing a Gorilla can do to you is bite, she would rip him to shreds before he got that close.

Bear. Claws versus fingernails and carnivorous fangs versus vegetarian teeth. I presume you're matching them pound for pound? There is also the fact that the gorilla is a defensive, rather than an aggressive, fighter, and is not used to killing for food so it has less practice.

It depends what type of bear of course, but a Grizzly would take the gorilla. Gorillas are very strong but so are Grizzlys, and they being predators are more naturally aggressive (most displays of agression by gorillas are bluster, to warn you off) and have sharper claws and teeth.
