The number of total bases (earned on ones own hits) divided by the number of "official" at bats. For example: Jimmy Slugger steps to the plate 5 times in his game verses the "Otherguys"" and he hits 2 singles, a home run, strikes out and draws a walk (un-official at bat), therefore we divide 6 (total bases) by 4 (official at-bats) and Jimmies slugging pct for the game is 1.50.
