He's right - charity does nothing to promote self-sustenance, it only exists to help people in the G8 try to justify what they have, as if being in an upper social strata needs justification. Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for life.

Remember that USA for Africa and that song "Let them know it's Christmas time?" I laughed my ASS off as most of them are NOT christians!! Nor do they believe, unless to get food. Until they get a form of stable governement, expect them to keep chucking psears, bullets and using kids for pawns.

It seems to me that "giving" is only part of the solution. Education on how to be self sufficient is as important for tomorrow as getting food to people is for today.

celebrities use charity for self promotion and self preservation.they use it as a way to keep them curent and to sell you some crap they need you to buy.
