You are 18! Go to college or church and meet some boys. Sorry sweetheart, but I don't think that online is the best way to chat with boys. Especially ones you don't know. Use your brain babe. There are too many dangers involved!

I am a 16-year-old girl. I created a free account on yahoo and thats where I go to chat. There are many different chat rooms. I suggest you try the one four 18-19yr olds. I think it's called 'Peeps lounge'.

Check out the chatrooms at www.yahoo.com .
Just sign up for free with a username and a password, join a chatroom, and you're all set.

Some terminology you might want to know:
lol=lots of laughs
bbl=be back later
brb=be right back
a/s/l=age/sex/location

There are many more. But the only way you'll learn is by getting into it.

Have you ever thought of going to a cafe'?

You might Like ICQ (I Seek You). It was the best and original I-Chat program. the others have tried to mimic and compare features.
AOL has an IM (instant Messenger) and they have groups
also Yahoo and MSN.

My basic rulle is :if it costs to chat I don't do it.
There is too much free stuff out there.

AOL & ICQ have 2 many "trollers" looking 4 sex play & Spyware 2! Hardly worth it! Use chat only 4 friends, if ever!

I was an 18 year old girl looking to chat with boys on the internet...and I ended up meeting a 38 year old man and dating him for 4 months. I was dumb. I do not recommend internet dating. Chat for fun if you must, but if a guy needs to find a girl on the internet....he is most likely not worth it (from my own observation.) If you still insist on it though, stay away from the yahoo chat rooms. You will end up with a ton of guys from other countries who barely speak english trying to get you to marry them for their green cards.

As you are posting in the Relationships » Dating » Internet section, I assume that by 'chat on the Internet with boys' you mean dating chat rather than the hundreds of chatrooms that are available?

If that is the case, and as you say that you are 18, you are in a position where you can sign up with numerous online dating agencies. I met my boyfriend 3 years ago through an online dating agency, and we have since created http://www.heartsaffection.com/ which is an online review of a number of quality dating services available. You might like to have a look at that, although you should be aware that you probably won't meet anyone under 18 years of age in these sites, although you should find plenty of boys aged around 18/19.
