  • Do you live in a community property state? I'm assuming you owned the home before you married your current husband. You can stay on the deeds and not be on the loan. After the loan closes and the new deed is recorded, you can just go back to the county recorder and rerecord a new deed adding you to it. BUT be very careful about refi'ing in just your husband's name!
